VALLE DEL CAUCA · COLOMBIA
The pilots' camp in the heart of Colombia's Cauca Valley. Designed by pilots, for pilots — and a one-of-a-kind venue for retreats, ceremonies and gatherings.
The valley view, every single day.
A turnkey ground operation and premium recovery base camp for flight schools and expedition cohorts.
We sit on the hillside, right between the valley's landing zone and the three main launches. That position halves the 4×4 time to take-off and lets the operation adapt instantly to the day's thermal windows.
The name honors the gualas — the local vultures and eagles — that mark the thermals right above the property. Where they fly, we fly.

Everything at Casa Guala serves the flight operation: position, sightlines, gear security and real-time data.
Between the landing zone and the three launches. Less time on the track, more time in the air.
A panoramic timber platform with a direct line of sight to the LZ, the Chinche Canyon and the Destino Aventura and Bello Horizonte launches.
The local birds crown the thermals right above the grounds — your natural indicator before every flight.
Inside a private, access-controlled community — the same home base as acro world champion Pal Takats. Double security for your gear.
High-speed satellite internet across 100% of the property. Windy models, XContest uploads and 4K video with no waiting.
Smooth grass terraces — free of dust, gravel and concrete — for line checks, rigging and safely packing your wing.

The rotunda · debriefs
Soaring with the gualas above the Cauca Valley — thermals, ridge lines and big Andean skies, straight from our launches.
Room for 23 pilots across 5 deluxe cabins and the three-story flight house — plus everything you need to show up fresh for the next thermal day.
A wood-fired round pine sauna next to a cold plunge fed by pure water from the Páramo de las Hermosas.
5 palm-thatched cabins with private decks, catamaran nets and A/C, plus the three-story house with a multimedia rotunda for debriefs.
Family-style breakfast and dinner, home-cooked by our local chef.
A specialty Colombian coffee bar, free and unlimited every morning, with roasts curated from the region's boutique roasters.
Our own orchard (mango, orange, avocado, soursop…), a natural creek running through the grounds and a sanctuary with 15+ bird species.
A fire-pit terrace, open-air social pavilion, ping-pong table and the panoramic deck as the coaching hub.
Off flying season — or on full buyout — Casa Guala becomes an intimate setting between mountain and valley for all kinds of gatherings.

Yoga, wellness and true disconnection, with the páramo and the canyon as your backdrop.
